Mini Lights: Decorating with Pink Mini Lights
Why not try pink as your color theme this Christmas season – or for your next party or room decorating project. Pink is warm, fun and an easy color to get along with. Fortunately, trends in Christmas light manufacture can satisfy a penchant for pink.
Pink is an amazing color – invigorating and refreshing. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t smile in the presence of this powerful pastel. Even on the gloomiest days, its refreshing and cheerful. When you wear the right pink, it lights up your face like someone with a gauze covered spotlight is following you around the supermarket. Naturally, I had to test this color’s power with some pink mini lights and here are a few ideas on how to use this romantic color.
Accent your dinner parties with pink lighting
Consider adorning your dining room sideboard with pink mini lights for soft and complexion-enhancing light. Fill a couple of large glass vases with light sets and place them on a buffet or side table. Wrap an indoor palm or ficus to create a glowing architectural accent. Use Pink light strings to decorate a birthday party
I think it’s safe to say that most girls love the color pink. Create a princess wonderland for a girl’s birthday party with pink mini lights draped around the dining room ceiling, around the gift table, and around the cake table. Intertwine them with white tulle for a special touch around the birthday girls’ chair at the table. She’ll feel like a princess all day long and the party will create memories she won’t soon forget. Use thumbtacks to create the birthday girl’s name in an outline of pink mini lights on a backyard fence.
Pink Lights Make a Pretty Bedroom
A girl’s bedroom is the perfect place to light up with pink. Use them to gracefully outline the canopy above her bed or accent the mirror on her dressing table. Add some artwork to the walls – castles, dragons, toe shoes – and your theme will come together.
Check your local craft stores for new easy to transfer appliques that are becoming available. Use light as part of a plan to organize your daughter’s room. Throw some pink light on her beloved stuffed animals by accenting some shelves that you can install high on the wall. Line the toys up among the light sets. She’ll enjoy seeing them in the evening before she falls asleep. And you’ll enjoy not rearranging them 5 times a day. LED mini lights are a great choice for this application since they stay cool – only rising one degree in operation. (Otherwise, for conventional Christmas lights put them on a timer.)
Don’t forget that grown up bedrooms need a little romantic light as well! Try using rosy pink mini lights to set the tone in the budoir. Use them in large glass containers filled with tulle or use them to provide indirect lighting on top of bookcases and behind headboards.
Pink Mini lights for Christmas
Mini lights of several colors are seen during the Christmas holiday. Why not use pink mini lights on your white or green Christmas tree this year? Compliment your pink light strands with white pearls, bows, and ornaments. It will be an exciting tree that your Christmas guests will envy.
Don’t let your pink flamingo yard ornament go unaccessorized this Christmas season. Go pink for Christmas and enjoy the glow.
Decorating Outdoors with Pink Mini Lights
Wrap your trees with pink mini lights to celebrate a birthday – especially a sweet 16. The unexpected color – usually one would expect clear – will be cause for conversation. Mixing in a few red mini lights would make a great surprise for a backyard Valentines party.
Whether indoors or outdoors, pink mini lights are a great economical way to think outside of the lines when it comes to adding a little color to Christmas or next week’s private picnic for 2.

recession picture
For those who are unclear what a recession actually is, I will do my best to quickly clarify it. A recession is a contraction phase of the business cycle. The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) defines it as a “significant decline in economic activity spread across the country, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP, real income, employment, industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales.” But what are the causes of economic depression?
This definition looks scary, and rightfully so. Almost every facet of our lives as consumers is affected by a recession. Basic essentials like food and housing become (and are becoming) more difficult to obtain as prices sky-rocket and fear escalates. One of the most important causes of economic recession is unrestrained capitalism. We are paying our dues for years of overproduction and rampant greed. The golden age of capitalism in the seventies and eighties is now finally taking its toll on our economy.
Another one of the important causes of economic recession is falling demand for goods and services. It’s not hard to understand that if we produce more than we are consuming. the demand for the excess production just won’t be there, and we have a waste of resources.
There is a free electronic book that has just been published by an economist who has been carefully studying the current economic crisis. The information presented in the book can help anyone, regardless of what your present circumstances may be. I highly suggest you check it out by following the link below.

christmas lights picture
Every day people become more and more aware of their surroundings, and how their choices impact their individual lives, and the environment. People are constantly searching for more efficient and economical choices, as well as choices that include better options for the planet.
When December approaches, many families decorate their house to display the holiday cheer. This is a very popular theme, and some people even light their houses in different colors or styles of lighting. Since Christmas lights are increasingly more popular, developers of them have tried to find ways to make them more appealing. One of these ways is the introduction of solar power to the string lights.
Types of Solar Christmas Lights
They come in a wide variety so there are plenty from which to choose. This can include fun colors or just regular white lights as well. Or one can opt to choose the traditional reds and greens of Christmas. As for their design, they are offered in a string lighting style, or the icicle style, where one string of lights has many different lengths of strands hanging down from it at specific intervals of space, creating an icicle look when strung along the top of a house. Solar Christmas lights also come in a snake light format, where the lights are contained inside a plastic surrounding similar to a clear tube.
Most solar string lights use LED lights because they require less power and they last a long time. LEDs are a popular choice for many solar lights.
Shopping For Solar String Lights
Solar powered Christmas lights can now be found almost anywhere: at local discount stores, large warehouse stores, and online. Some popular locations to find solar powered Christmas lights include Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon, The Home Depot, and local stores.
These lights are available at practically any store that one would buy traditional Christmas lights from. This helps consumers by offering a large selection for them to choose from, and compare.
The Benefits
One benefit of solar powered Christmas lights is saving on electricity. Not only does this help the environment but it helps the wallet by saving a few dollars. One can decorate their house and still be festive while being economical.
These lights also offer a cordless free outdoor environment. While the lights are hung all around, there are no cords to trip over or worry about finding an outlet to plug them in to.
Solar powered Christmas lights work off of a small solar panel that collects the sunlight during the day and uses that power during hours of darkness. These lights can be useful in decorating places that are hard to access with power, such as the mailbox or walkway of a house. No matter which Christmas lights consumers choose to use, the solar powered lights offer the same type of quality and usage as traditional lights.

light sensor picture
Motion sensor light switches are becoming more popular in homes, and for good reason. Not only are they simple and inexpensive to install, but they can also save money, help conserve natural resources, and provide added safety and security in your home. Here are some good reasons why you might want to consider adding one or more motion sensitive light switches to your home.
Save Money
In most homes, a lot of money is wasted simply by people not shutting off the lights when they leave a room. In fact, sometimes lights are accidentally left on at bedtime, which means they waste electricity and money all night long. When you install a motion sensor light switch, it will automatically sense any movement in the room. This means the lights will go on automatically without you having to do a thing. After a certain amount of time, if no further motion is detected, the lights will also turn themselves off automatically. Because of this automation, motion sensor light switches are much more effective at saving money than simply trying to remember to turn the lights out when you leave the room. In fact, these switches will probably pay for themselves quickly because of the money they will save on your utility bill.
Help Protect the Environment
Of course, using too much electricity is not only bad for your utility bill – it is also detrimental to the environment. The automated nature of these switches will reduce the amount of electricity your family consumes, so you will be doing your part to live a “greener” lifestyle. Depending on the switch you buy, it might have features that allow you to prevent lights from being switched on during the daylight hours, which can also help to avoid accidentally using too much electricity. You can also increase the effectiveness of these switches by adjusting them to turn off after a shorter period of inactivity in the room.
Enhanced Safety
Good lighting can be very important to the safety of your family. Because these switches will automatically turn the lights on in a room when you enter, you will not have to worry about stumbling around in the dark or possibly tripping and falling because you did not take the time to turn on the light. These automated switches can also be very handy for people who have limited mobility, eliminating the need for them to have to fumble with light switches. They are also handy in homes with children who are not tall enough to easily reach the light switches. They can provide extra safety when you have your hands full, but need to turn on the lights to enter a room, such as when you are carrying laundry or groceries.
Home Security
When you have motion sensor light switches, the lights in your home will be continually turning off and on. This will of course be an indication that somebody is home, which can be a deterrent to potential burglars. With regular light switches, you might turn your room lights as soon as it gets dark, and essentially leave them on all evening. This inactivity could be perceived from outdoors as there being nobody home.

While we read almost daily about news reports and articles that decry the state of Residential Real Estate in the Phoenix Metro marketplace, a bright star is about to shine. It is time to consider the benefits of investing and believing in Real Estate values on the Phoenix Light Rail line.
The Light Rail Starter Line is scheduled to start operations on December 27, 2008, more than a year from now. Changes to the character of the initial 20 mile Starter- Line will become more evident during the first two years of operations. At a cost of $1.4 Billion from taxpayer funds, the 20 miles will cost on the average $70 Million per mile. The direct benefit will be gained by private property owners. The trend will begin to move toward the following types of changes explained in the points below.
1. Residents will take 1-2 years to ‘test’ the Line.
Sporting events will continue to bring fans to the games. However, some fans will want to begin ‘testing’ the convenience of jumping on a scheduled Light Rail car before and after a ballgame. These early-adopters will become very important to the success of the Line. The local newspapers will carry stories about the success of commuters to and from an event, as well as unfavorable stories of what ‘did not work’.
2. The Business makeup and mix will change along the Light Rail.
Phoenix has established what are known as Transit-Oriented Districts. In my opinion, there will be a shift towards Upscale and Service type businesses. Phoenix will enjoy 18 Stations that have the following characteristics as outlined in a recent publication entitled “Transit Oriented Development in Phoenix” from Valley Metro.
As quoted directly from the Valley Metro publication,
“Transit-oriented development is a development style that encourages transit usage by increasing the base of riders through complementary land uses – such as office, retail and housing – near transit stations. Mixed-use development, such as a multi-family housing project with retail at street level, is ideal, since it attracts
riders to the station areas. Compact, dense development is also important to transit-oriented development to increase riders near light rail stations.
Catering to pedestrians and improving the walk-ability and connectivity between light rail stations and nearby development is a major component of transit-oriented development. The goal is a comfortable five to 10-minute walk from a light rail station to retail, office or housing. In addition, transit-oriented development
strives to create a comfortable environment for pedestrians and bicyclists to encourage people to walk and bike to and from transit stations, by adding landscaping and other amenities.
Recognizing that people will still use automobiles, auto uses are
carefully integrated into developments.”
4. The Light Rail will introduce new types of businesses to the Line.
Riders from different points in the Valley will be curious as they watch and pass businesses along the Corridor. There will be more interest as they explore new benefits in services that can be accessed fairly easily from a Station area. Each new Station area will become more valuable in real estate values from a buy/sell perspective as well as a rent/lease to new types of businesses. Entrepreneurs will study the pattern of other highly successful businesses in Light Rail Corridors in other cities such as San Diego, San Jose and Dallas. Phoenix will see similar patterns of success particularly around Station Stops.
Conclusion
The Light Rail Starter Line is a great opportunity to unify the Valley in ways that no other single construction project has been able to do up to this point. December 2008 is scheduled to see the first rider jump on board. After that happens, we will likely see complaining turning instead to compliments, dust and construction make way to pride and higher property values. We will also see efforts and business ideas which will find creative ways to cater to the new fashion look the Light Rail will bring. Similar to the way models walk the ‘runway’ at fashion shows, the Phoenix Light Rail Corridor will sparkle, smile and shine as it proudly but smoothly glides over the welded iron rails, welcoming new travelers at each stop.

Modern technology today focuses on environment conservation and going green. Are you as an artist doing your bit? The first question popping up in your head would be, “What can I do about environment conservation?” The answer is plenty. You could go green; you could use the most environment friendly art light, for example the LED picture light. This is indeed a boon discovery for the LED gives plenty of light while it consumes next to nothing in terms of energy.
How this could help your pictures display? Here are five superb benefits that you and your pictures can get from the use of LED (short of light emitting diodes) lights.
1. You are giving the right message – first of all you are giving the right message to all your clients, visitors and fans. You are telling when you use this type of picture lights, that you care for the environment and you would definitely like all others to follow you on this path. As you would have seen in the hundreds of pro-green ads – everyone needs to do his or her bit only then this earth will survive sure and complete self-destruction.
2. You can use this type lighting in all circumstances – whether you need an extra lamp focusing on your picture, or a built in frame lighting, this type of light would fit just about anywhere you would like to think it good. This is small in size but can be as soft or as brilliant as you would like it to be while it really consumes a minuscule amount of power. It is best when you use it for dimming of lights effect for it can be exceptionally effective in this setting.
3. You can create any effect you want – the LED lighting is not made of one bulb, but many tiny (smaller than your fingernail size) bulbs aided by a reflector that is stalled behind this tiny light to enhance its lighting power. In this manner you can use 100 LEDs that consume next to nothing to give you the light equivalent to any major source of light your home or office. You can use the properties of these tiny lights to create your own ambiance and focus on your picture. You may either arrange these LEDs in most strategic positions, or simply use them to create an ambiance for the best highlighting of your pictures.
4. Use LED to enhance your room – you can enhance the value of your pictures by creating the perfect ambiance within the room with the help of this type of lighting. You can use the LEDs to give you regular lights, dimmer lights, and focused lights or a combination of all three. Depending upon what you want best, you can always create a look of magic in the room and around the picture for best effects.
5. Custom made lighting – lastly, one of the best uses of this type light is that you can do anything you want with it. Think of a type of lighting and it can be made out of these ‘light emitting diodes’ for they are as versatile as they are small.

incandescent light picture
One of the most used light bulbs all over the world is the incandescent light bulb, yes there are many other types out there to choose from but for many, many years the incandescent has been the most popular out of all of them. They are a source of electric light and work by having an electric current pass through a filament which is then heated up inside the bulb until it produces light, this is all encapsulated in glass which stops any oxygen hitting the filament which would break the bulb and make it go out.
Incandescent bulbs have a pretty low cost to manufacturer which has mean that prices for this type of bulb are not very high, also the fact that you need no extra fittings or anything like that for them to work means that many people round the world have been using them cheaply in many modern day applications.
The problem with these lights is that there are many other ways in today’s world to product the same amount of light using less energy meaning that they are slowly being pushed out of the top position as so many people in the world are looking to reduce the energy that they use. Incandescent bulbs are very good but not good enough anymore!
Incandescent bulbs can get very, very hot so you need to be very careful if you planning on change one over, try and feel for the heat it is giving off before you remove the bulb and always make sure that the bulb is switched off before you decide to try and remove it. Incandescent bulbs can reach temperatures of up to but not limited to 260 Celsius so they can be very, very hot.
Another problem with the incandescent bulb is that roughly 90% of the power that is used to run the bulb is let out as heat rather than light so you are wasting a lot of energy whilst you are running these bulbs which can be a problem for many people that try and save energy so if you are one of these people then you should go for another bulb as these can also turn out more expense in the long run,
Most countries have decided that as incandescent bulbs are using a lot more energy than other bulb technologies on the market that they want to phase out the sales and use of these bulbs. Some countries have already begun doing this and others like the United Kingdom plan to have them discontinued by 2011.
There is still hope for the incandescent bulb as some companies are working on producing a high efficiency version which have been said will be two times more efficient but also they are working on making them possible 4 times more efficient.

light panel picture
In today’s economy, it is important to get the most out of our dollar. With that said, decorating and improving the appearance of a room has often been placed on the back burner for many people. The main reason this happens is because it is expensive a lot of times to decorate or revamp a room. For people who have around $50-$60 to spend on a room, fluorescent light panels might be an excellent option for you- this is of course, if you have fluorescent lights!
Decorative panels are a replacement panel for fluorescent light fixtures. These fixtures come in many different sizes so it is important to be sure you measure correctly when committing to a size. If dealing with a reputable company, they will cut the decorative light panel to the size you need free of charge. This is a wonderful service with every customer should get because it saves time and ensures the acrylic panel does not break in the wrong places when cutting it to size.
Decorative fluorescent panels are more affordable than many other light fixtures because you are not removing the complete fluorescent fixture; you are simply replacing the panel. There are no extra costs involved with replacing the acrylic panel because it can be done by a Do-it-Yourself’er and will not require a professional to install.
Replacing the panel is a much more affordable option than replacing the whole fixture because for one, you would have to buy another fixture which will cost money and two, the lighting fixture needs to have a professional take it down due to more complicated wiring. This is not suggested as do it yourself work.
Possibly the most affordable aspect of the acrylic light panel is the way a room can be customized for the same price. Many companies where these decorative fluorescent panels are printed make custom printing options available to those people who want to utilize the service. This typically does not much more, if any additional cost than a pre-printed design. This custom print option allows for people to completely customize their area for a small amount of money where utilizing any other customizing means might cost a lot more. Family photos, personal drawings and artwork can all be used in the custom printed design to accentuate your home or commercial location.
The affordability coupled with the strict ease in use allows a person decorating on a budget to transform their drab fluorescent lighting fixtures into something unique and extraordinary.
